The Forum will provide snacks, big jugs of water, and Govinos for a waste-free event. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the band!
Fire Safe Sonoma has received funding from the California Fire Safe Council to assist Glen Ellen in completing a local wildland fire safety risk assessment, known as a Community Wildfire Protection Plan, or CWPP. One of our first actions is to hold a Community Stakeholder meeting to get input from the community.
This is a great opportunity for Glen Ellen residents to provide valuable information about wildfire risks in their neighborhoods and share ideas for how to reduce those risks.
The CWPP process is dependent on community participation. We need residents, neighborhood leaders, and fire professionals to weigh in to help us identify fire risks throughout Glen Ellen. We also need to know what you think needs to be done and what you are planning to do. This will help the planning team prioritize actions and facilitate effective coordination of projects throughout the community.
A well-developed CWPP with a clear action plan will help bring resources to our community to not only reduce fire risk but also improve the health of our forests.
