If you are interested in running for election to the GE Forum Board, review the Forum by-laws here and our manual of policies and procedures here and send a note to forum@glenellen.org to express interest and ask questions. More information will be available at our monthly meetings on Feb 3, March 2, and April 6 and in our next newsletters.

GE Forum Landscape and Environment Committee Plans Workshop

The GE Forum Landscape and Environment Committee’s focus is on gardening that is fire-wise, sustainable and wildlife friendly. We are planning a workshop on the subject for the Glen Ellen Community, lead by a team of local experts, to be held in late March. Please watch for the date and location coming soon!

The workshop will include:
* Recommendations for fire-wise landscape design including appropriate hardscape, plants, and maintenance to create a beautiful garden that supports wildlife and biodiversity
* A practical understanding of what it means to garden sustainably in an ever-changing California climate.

You can find more details on the topic from the Sonoma Ecology Center here: Manage Landscape Now to be Fire-Smart and Wildlife-Friendly
